The Pipeline Project (The. Pipeline) is all about getting high school Career Technical Education (CTE) students excited about checking out different careers in the ski industry. Our mission? We want to make sure there's a steady stream of skilled CTE grads ready to dive into the ski industry job pool.
An Overlooked asset to the ski industry
CTE STUDENTS
Here's the deal: there's a sweet opportunity for ski resorts and related businesses to team up with a bunch of eager, skilled young guns ready to rock the ski industry profession. These students spend 2 years knee-deep in hands-on training programs picking up skills that fit like a glove with what the ski industry needs. By connecting with high school CTE programs, the ski scene has a shot at snagging top-notch workers who've got what it takes to thrive in ski industry roles. But here's the kicker we know: the ski scene just doesn't have the time to scout out these students.
This is where The. Pipeline jumps in. We've got the time, the passion, plus we bring a knack from our days as former educator. We know how to reach out to local CTE centers, chat with these students in a way that clicks, and create the connection needed to build a pipeline of future ski professionals.

How this works
The. Pipeline will reach out to your local CTE center(s) to introduce them to the exciting career opportunities in the ski industry. From there, we'll help arrange a field trip for interested CTE students to visit your resort or business. Our field trips are not your average outing - they include fun student competitions, mock job interviews, and networking sessions, with the option of it all being facilitated by The. Pipeline so resorts and businesses can effortlessly engage with students.
After the field trip, we'll collaborate with the resort or business to identify promising students for more formal job interviews. Throughout the interview process, The. Pipeline will support both the student and the resort or business. If a job offer is extended and accepted, we'll stay in touch with both parties throughout the student's first year of employment to ensure a smooth transition for everyone involved.
What The. Pipeline Project will do:

Create connection with local CTE center(s) and introduce the ski industry career pathway

Organize a unique field trip and networking event with hopes to identify prospective employees
3
If any job offer was made during/after the event, we will stay in communication with all during 1st year of employment for a smooth transition
